Listening to Problem Solving
- You will listen to a conversation divided into three sections.
- After each section, you will answer two or three questions about what you heard.
- Select the best answer for each question based on the conversation.
- In this practice test, you can play, pause, replay, and view the transcript.
- For exam-like practice, answer each question before replaying the audio or opening the transcript.
Why Practice Listening to Problem Solving Questions?
In Part 1 you listen to a conversation between two speakers as one of them explains a problem and the other helps solve it. The audio plays in segments, and questions test both the overall situation and specific details.
The skill is holding the sequence in mind: what the problem is, what options come up, and what is finally decided. Practising many conversations trains you to follow that arc and ignore the details that sound right but answer a different question.
When you are ready for the full experience, take a complete listening mock test under exam timing.
What is CELPIP Listening Part 1?
