Master CELPIP Listening with Real Practice Tests

There are six parts with 38 questions in total. Part 1 has 8 questions, Part 2 has 5, Part 3 has 6, Part 4 has 5, Part 5 has 8 and Part 6 has 6. Every question is multiple choice.

Yes. On the official exam each recording plays a single time and you cannot pause or replay it. Our mock tests follow the same rule, and the questions are recited aloud after each recording just like on test day.

On the official exam the Listening section takes between 47 and 55 minutes, including instructions, and each mock test here runs about the same so you practise under realistic timing.

Every question carries equal weight. Your raw score out of 38 converts to a CELPIP level, with Level 12 being the highest. When you finish a mock test here, you see your score right away along with the full answer key.

Test 1 is free, so start there to get a feel for the format. The set then ramps up gradually: Tests 1 to 35 are Easy, Tests 36 to 80 are Medium and Tests 81 to 100 are Hard.

We recommend them. On test day you listen through a headset at the test centre, so practicing with headphones gives you the most realistic experience and helps you catch details in the audio.

Yes. CELPIP provides a notepad at the test centre and note taking is a key strategy for the longer parts. Keep pen and paper next to you during these mocks and build that habit early.
