Subject: Different Room for Saturday Game Night

Hi Dylan,

I wanted to check our plans for Saturday’s board game night at Elm Court’s shared lounge. We planned to start at six and order food after the first game. I was looking forward to it, and everything seemed settled until this week. I need to change the plan because the lounge will not allow food during its new carpet treatment.

The building advanced the carpet cleaning after another booking was cancelled. As a result, our dinner plan and four-hour reservation no longer work together. I first called the Corner Table Café about its private back room. The café can hold the room from six thirty if our group orders dinner there.

I also checked the earlier arrangements before deciding which alternative might cause the least disruption. One detail to keep in mind is that you are bringing the strategy games and need a table wide enough for their boards. My preferred solution is moving game night to the café back room at six thirty. That would work best because it allows dinner and provides two large tables for the full group.

It would solve the immediate problem while keeping the useful details already settled. If that works for you, I can update everything else as soon as you reply. Another possibility is keeping the lounge and eating outside before we play. The difficulty with that option is that the weather forecast is poor and several friends cannot arrive early.

I thought about dropping the plan completely, but that would create more trouble than it solves. I’d rather use one of the practical alternatives that is already available. The practical detail I have not resolved is that the café needs the final number of diners for one long table. Please tell me what you think we should do about that part of the plan.

I kept the records about Saturday’s board game night at Elm Court’s shared lounge together for this review. No other related plan needs to change while this matter is reviewed. A written reply about moving game night to the café back room at six thirty would prevent confusion. Thank you for considering the timing and practical effects of this request.

I need your answer by Friday morning. The manager will divide the room if our count is not confirmed. What I’m hoping is that you can accept the café room and tell me whether you are bringing both large games. Once I hear from you, I will collect everyone’s dinner response and cancel the lounge.

Hi Amara,

Thanks for explaining the mix-up and the options you considered. I understand that . The first plan made sense, but this new issue clearly needs a different answer.

I can confirm that . That choice is suitable because . I’ve updated my notes so we won’t treat the earlier plan as final.

Because you are bringing the strategy games and need a table wide enough for their boards, . I will send the revised instructions after I finish the update today. The other option can remain available if something changes before the deadline.

Please reply by so I know you accept the revised plan. After your confirmation, I will send the table booking and parking details. Thanks for giving me enough detail to sort this out without another long exchange.

See you soon,

Dylan
