Subject: Plan for Monday Choir Rehearsal
Hi Reid,
I wanted to sort out Monday’s small choir rehearsal before the community concert with you. We planned to practise the difficult pieces with Elise at the piano. I was looking forward to it, and everything seemed settled until this week. The reason I’m asking now is that Elise cannot attend because her return train was cancelled. Track repairs have delayed her trip until Tuesday afternoon. As a result, we would lose our only full rehearsal if we cancel because of the missing accompaniment.
I first asked Elise to record the piano sections at a slower practice tempo. She can upload separate tracks by Sunday evening. I also checked the information we exchanged earlier so I would not overlook an existing condition. One detail to keep in mind is that you have the portable speaker and the marked conducting score. My preferred solution is rehearsing with Elise’s recordings and focusing on entrances.
That would work best because the group keeps its practice time and can repeat difficult sections easily. I do not want to change more of the arrangement than the current problem requires. If that works for you, I can update everything else as soon as you reply. Another possibility is meeting without music and working only on pronunciation. The difficulty with that option is that the concert pieces still need coordinated timing before Friday.
I thought about dropping the plan completely, but that would create more trouble than it solves. I’d rather use one of the practical alternatives that is already available. The practical detail I have not resolved is that the hall wireless connection is unreliable for streaming large files. Please tell me what you think we should do about that part of the plan.
I kept the records about Monday’s small choir rehearsal before the community concert together for this review. No other related plan needs to change while this matter is reviewed. A written reply about rehearsing with Elise’s recordings and focusing on entrances would prevent confusion. Thank you for considering the timing and practical effects of this request.
I need your answer by Sunday at noon. Elise needs enough time to prepare and upload offline copies. What I’m hoping is that you can bring the speaker and download the practice tracks before arriving. Once I hear from you, I will print the revised entrance notes and lead the warm-up.

Hi Hana,
Thanks for laying out what changed and what you have already tried. I understand that . The first plan made sense, but this new issue clearly needs a different answer.
I can confirm that . That choice is suitable because . I’ve updated my notes so we won’t treat the earlier plan as final.
Because you have the portable speaker and the marked conducting score, . I will send the revised instructions after I finish the update today. The other option can remain available if something changes before the deadline.
Please reply by so I know you accept the revised plan. After your confirmation, I will send the file links and a shortened rehearsal order. Thanks for giving me enough detail to sort this out without another long exchange.
See you soon,
Reid
