Subject: Earlier Pickup for Grandma’s Quilt
Hi Gavin,
I wanted to sort out collecting Grandma’s restored quilt from Threadline Studio with you. We planned to pick it up together on Saturday morning and bring it to Aunt Rosa. I was looking forward to it, and everything seemed settled until this week. The reason I’m asking now is that the studio will close Friday evening for a week instead. The owner must travel unexpectedly to help at another workshop. As a result, the quilt cannot remain in the unattended shop over the weekend.
I first called to ask whether the parcel could be released to another family member. The owner can give it to you on Friday if I email written permission. I also checked the information we exchanged earlier so I would not overlook an existing condition. One detail to keep in mind is that you work two blocks from the studio and finish at four thirty. My preferred solution is having you collect the quilt Friday and store it flat at your apartment.
That would work best because the pickup fits your route and prevents the quilt from being folded in temporary storage. I do not want to change more of the arrangement than the current problem requires. If that works for you, I can update everything else as soon as you reply. Another possibility is asking the studio to courier the quilt to Aunt Rosa. The difficulty with that option is that the courier cannot guarantee a flat package and Aunt Rosa will be away Friday.
I thought about dropping the plan completely, but that would create more trouble than it solves. I’d rather use one of the practical alternatives that is already available. The practical detail I have not resolved is that the remaining restoration balance must be paid before the parcel leaves the shop. Please tell me what you think we should do about that part of the plan.
I kept the records about collecting Grandma’s restored quilt from Threadline Studio together for this review. No other related plan needs to change while this matter is reviewed. A written reply about having you collect the quilt Friday and store it flat at your apartment would prevent confusion. Thank you for considering the timing and practical effects of this request.
I need your answer by Thursday evening. The owner needs enough time to prepare an authorization form in your name. What I’m hoping is that you can collect the quilt on Friday and check the protective wrapping before leaving. Once I hear from you, I will pay the balance online and email the authorization.

Hi Noor,
Thanks for laying out what changed and what you have already tried. I understand that . The first plan made sense, but this new issue clearly needs a different answer.
I can confirm that . That choice is suitable because . I’ve updated my notes so we won’t treat the earlier plan as final.
Because you work two blocks from the studio and finish at four thirty, . I will send the revised instructions after I finish the update today. The other option can remain available if something changes before the deadline.
Please reply by so I know you accept the revised plan. After your confirmation, I will send the collection code and care instructions. Thanks for giving me enough detail to sort this out without another long exchange.
See you soon,
Gavin
