Subject: Two More Days of Garden Care

Hi Isaac,

I wanted to check our plans for the garden care schedule while our parents are away. I planned to water and collect vegetables through Sunday before they returned. I was looking forward to it, and everything seemed settled until this week. I need to change the plan because their return has been delayed until Tuesday evening.

A cancelled rail connection left them with no suitable trip home on Monday. As a result, the greenhouse and tomato beds need care for two extra days. I first asked the neighbour to check whether the automatic greenhouse vent is working. The vent is fine but the seedling trays still require hand watering each morning.

I also checked the earlier arrangements before deciding which alternative might cause the least disruption. One detail to keep in mind is that you already planned to visit on Monday to collect the spare house key. My preferred solution is having you water the greenhouse on Monday and Tuesday mornings. That would work best because you will already be nearby and the seedlings cannot wait until evening.

It would solve the immediate problem while keeping the useful details already settled. If that works for you, I can update everything else as soon as you reply. Another possibility is asking the neighbour to handle every task until Tuesday. The difficulty with that option is that she is comfortable checking the vent but cannot lift the full watering cans.

I thought about dropping the plan completely, but that would create more trouble than it solves. I’d rather use one of the practical alternatives that is already available. The practical detail I have not resolved is that the ripe beans should be picked on Monday and left in the kitchen. Please tell me what you think we should do about that part of the plan.

I kept the records about the garden care schedule while our parents are away together for this review. No other related plan needs to change while this matter is reviewed. A written reply about having you water the greenhouse on Monday and Tuesday mornings would prevent confusion. Thank you for considering the timing and practical effects of this request.

I need your answer by Sunday afternoon. Our parents need to know whether to ask another relative for help. What I’m hoping is that you can cover the two morning watering visits and pick the beans. Once I hear from you, I will finish Sunday’s watering and leave written notes by the sink.

Hi Talia,

Thanks for explaining the mix-up and the options you considered. I understand that . The first plan made sense, but this new issue clearly needs a different answer.

I can confirm that . That choice is suitable because . I’ve updated my notes so we won’t treat the earlier plan as final.

Because you already planned to visit on Monday to collect the spare house key, . I will send the revised instructions after I finish the update today. The other option can remain available if something changes before the deadline.

Please reply by so I know you accept the revised plan. After your confirmation, I will send our parents the revised garden schedule. Thanks for giving me enough detail to sort this out without another long exchange.

See you soon,

Isaac
