Reading Test 13 · Part 1 (Later Entry at Children's Museum)Pro

Read the following message.

From: Elena Reyes

To: Simon Morrow

Subject: Saturday Museum Entry and Pickup

Hi Simon,

I wanted to check our plans for Saturday’s children’s museum trip with Leo and Mina. You planned to drop them at my house at nine before our ten o’clock entry. I was looking forward to it, and everything seemed settled until this week. I need to change the plan because the museum moved our timed entry to eleven thirty. A school group extended its exclusive morning booking after adding another class. As a result, the children would wait at my small apartment for more than two hours.

I first called the museum and checked whether our tickets could be returned to the earlier slot. The earlier time is full but the family café opens at ten forty-five. Before suggesting a change, I reviewed our earlier messages and the details already confirmed. One detail to keep in mind is that Leo needs his allergy-safe lunch packed separately from the museum snacks. My preferred solution is meeting at the library playground at ten thirty before walking to the museum. That would work best because the children can play outside and we avoid a long wait in my apartment.

That approach would preserve the parts of the plan that still work for everyone. If that works for you, I can update everything else as soon as you reply. Another possibility is keeping the nine o’clock drop-off and watching a film at home. The difficulty with that option is that creates extra travel and may make the children restless before the museum. I thought about dropping the plan completely, but that would create more trouble than it solves. I’d rather use one of the practical alternatives that is already available.

The practical detail I have not resolved is that the digital tickets are on your phone rather than mine. Please tell me what you think we should do about that part of the plan. I kept the records about Saturday’s children’s museum trip with Leo and Mina together for this review. No other related plan needs to change while this matter is reviewed. A written reply about meeting at the library playground at ten thirty before walking to the museum would prevent confusion.

Thank you for considering the timing and practical effects of this request. I need your answer by Friday after dinner. I need time to print backup tickets if you cannot join us at the entrance. What I’m hoping is that you can bring the children to the playground and forward the ticket file. Once I hear from you, I will pack the separate lunch and confirm the bus route.

Hi Elena,

Thanks for explaining the mix-up and the options you considered. I understand that . The first plan made sense, but this new issue clearly needs a different answer.

I can confirm that . That choice is suitable because . I’ve updated my notes so we won’t treat the earlier plan as final.

Because Leo needs his allergy-safe lunch packed separately from the museum snacks, . I will send the revised instructions after I finish the update today. The other option can remain available if something changes before the deadline.

Please reply by so I know you accept the revised plan. After your confirmation, I will send the meeting pin and museum entry instructions. Thanks for giving me enough detail to sort this out without another long exchange.

See you soon,

Simon
