Reading Test 50 · Part 1 (Moving a Festival Accessibility Tent)Pro

Subject: Accessibility Tent Location at the Festival

Hi Joel,

I wanted to check in about the accessibility information tent for Sunday's street festival. We planned to place the tent beside the main entrance. Everything appeared to be settled, and I had planned around the original arrangement. I am contacting you now because the entrance route now passes through that exact space. The parade coordinator widened the turning area for two community floats.

As a result, the tent would block both the floats and the level entrance path. I first walked the site with the accessibility lead and measured two alternate locations. The library courtyard has level access and enough room beside a quiet seating area. I went back through the original information to make sure the difficulty was not based on a misunderstanding. One detail to keep in mind is that you arranged the tent signs and the volunteers who answer visitor questions.

My preferred solution is moving the tent to the library courtyard and adding signs at the main entrance. That would work best because visitors can reach the service without crossing the parade route. This seems more practical than rebuilding the arrangement from the beginning. If this is acceptable, I can update the remaining details as soon as I receive your reply. Another possibility is placing the tent behind the food stalls.

The difficulty with that option is that location has uneven ground and heavy pedestrian traffic. I considered cancelling the arrangement entirely, but that would create unnecessary work for everyone involved. For that reason, I would rather use one of the practical alternatives already available. The practical detail I have not resolved is that one large directional sign still needs a weatherproof base. Please let me know how that part should be handled if the preferred plan is approved.

I kept the records about the accessibility information tent for Sunday's street festival together for this review. No other related plan needs to change while this matter is reviewed. A written reply about moving the tent to the library courtyard and adding signs at the main entrance would prevent confusion. Thank you for considering the timing and practical effects of this request.

I need your answer by Friday at two. The print team must know whether to produce a courtyard arrow. Most importantly, I am asking you to approve the courtyard location and obtain a base for the sign. Once I hear from you, I will revise the public map and brief the entrance volunteers.

Thanks,

Samira

Hi Samira,

Thanks for explaining what changed and what you have already tried. I understand that . The original arrangement was reasonable, but the new complication calls for a different plan.

I can confirm that . That choice is suitable because . I have updated the records so the earlier arrangement is no longer treated as final.

Because you arranged the tent signs and the volunteers who answer visitor questions, . I will send the revised instructions after I finish the update today. The other option can remain available if something changes before the deadline.

Please reply by so I know you accept the revised plan. After your confirmation, I will send the updated map and volunteer briefing. Thank you for providing enough detail to resolve this without another round of questions.

Best,

Joel
